Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (previously known as Dumdum International Airport) is located at Dumdum in the northern suburb and is approximately 20 km from the city center. The airport has international and domestic next to each other and handle about 300 passenger flights every day. Its also has Air Cargo Terminal which is the first Air Cargo Terminal in India which was commissioned on 5th October, 1975 and its gives Air Cargo services for Eastern and Northern-Eastern region for transshipment cargo.
